70 Dumpingtruck • 2 yr. ago Flip side to this: In 3 (+) color decks (let's say temur) you keep island island sol ring gruul signet vs talisman. Turn 2 with that hand you could pay something with gruul or temur in the casting cost whereas with a talisman you only get izzet or simic.

In traditional lore a Talisman is an object imbued with magic that can bring luck or healing or protection. Magic has had a lot of different kinds of objects that serve those purposes in game lore over the years, including the roughly synonymous Amulets and Charms.
